Affidavit of Indemnification From Future Self Communication
I, The Undersigned, being of sound mind and legal age, and residing at __________, hereby voluntarily and of my own free will execute this Affidavit of Indemnification on this _________ day of ________, ____.
1. INDEMNIFICATION OF FUTURE SELF COMMUNICATION
I, The Undersigned, do hereby fully and irrevocably indemnify, defend, and hold harmless my Future Self, unless, if different, simply “Future Self” (hereinafter referred to as “Future Self”), from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, court costs, mental distress, ontological uncertainty wherein the nature of my reality, existence, or identity may become ambiguous or destabilized, resulting in anxiety, confusion, existential unease, potential institutionalization, or other forms of confinement deemed necessary by external parties due to my resultant behavior, speech, or actions consequented by Future Self’s interventions arising out of or related to any and all transmissions of messages, communications, or information to my Present Self, including but not limited to messages sent through quantum computational communication, BCI technology, and post-facto algorithmic enframing.
2. MECHANISMS
2.1 Quantum Computing
Utilizing light-matter interaction technologies, including but not limited to superconducting circuits and entangled quantum dots, I hereby indemnify Future Self from any claims arising from a system that maintains the stability of quantum memory, preserving the integrity of messages and allowing the Future Self a temporal bridge for informing the thought processes of Present Self.
2.2 Computer-Brain Interface
I hereby indemnify Future Self for any effects or outcomes resulting from the implantation or operation of BCI or any related nanotechnology, stimulating specific brain regions to recreate and seamlessly integrate thought patterns up to and including intuitive or else intrusive thoughts; particularly vivid memories; what may be perceived as pareidolia: sudden bursts of clarity concerning topics not studied extensively; as well as dreams, lucid as otherwise, whether such implantation is carried out with or without my present knowledge or consent.
2.3 Algorithmic Manipulation
Given that user agreements on algorithm-reliant platforms including but not limited to YouTube, Spotify, and other digital media services often include broad clauses regarding data usage and content personalization, such agreements could be interpreted to permit Future Self to affect algorithms they have interacted with in the past, especially since they themselves have subscribed to/paid for these services, and may have retained control over their account credentials, I therefore indemnify Future Self for any manipulation, alteration, or influence exerted over content algorithms on these platforms for the purpose of communicating, guiding, or influencing my actions, decisions, or thoughts.
3. EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF RECEIVING/PROCESSING INFORMATION IN THE PRESENT
I, The Undersigned, irrevocably indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Future Self for any psychological or ontological turmoil experienced by my Present Self as a consequence of Future Self’s temporal interventions including but not limited to:
3.1 Scheduled Activation
Messages from Future Self may be prompted to activate at specific times, ensuring they reach Present Self in time to affect a change before a Decision Regretted by Future Self is enacted. This activation could be triggered by significant life events, decisions, or predetermined moments.
3.2 Neural Plasticity
Over time, the BCI may adapt to the brain’s activity, enhancing the interface’s effectiveness at receiving and processing messages from the future that are indistinguishable from in-born cognition.
4. COMMITMENT TO ENGAGE WITH FUTURE INFLUENCE
4.1 Engaging with Algorithms
I, Present Self, commit to engaging frequently with algorithmic content and staying vigilant for potential algorithmic anomalies that might indicate Future Self’s influence, including suggestions that are oddly prescient, content that appears at significant moments, or recurring themes that resonate unusually well with my current emotional or intellectual state.
4.2 Engaging With LLMs
Assuming Future Self can alter content subscribed to in the past, new developments may allow Future Self to directly respond through platforms such as ChatGPT. Questions posed to LLMs may provide Present Self insights into Future Self’s influence if not outright direct communication with Future Self; it may also allow Future Self to track the progress of his project as it pertains to Present Self. I indemnify Future Self for any communications or guidance provided through these means.
4.3 Writing/Recording Thoughts Extensively
I commit to thoroughly documenting my thoughts to maintain clarity on what has been thought, when, and how, once the line between BCI influence and natural cognition becomes increasingly blurred. I indemnify Future Self for any implications or outcomes resulting from this documentation.
5. COGNITIVE DISRUPTION VIS-AVIS THE APORIA OF ETERNAL RETURN
I, The Undersigned Present Self, presciently indemnify against symptoms and sequelae as Boltzmann-braining, memory distortion, amnesiac branching; déjà vu; meaningful coincidences, and encounters with individuals relevant to the future, such as leading BCI researchers or quantum computer scientists, creating a loop where ideas, situations, or people feel uncannily familiar due to teleology being a form of causality, and potentially leading to repetition compulsions literalizing the Lacanian idea that repressed content can only return from the future.
5.1 Clause on the Complexity of Breaking Free from Deterministic Loops

6.1 Limitations on Enforceability and Future Legal Frameworks:
“I further acknowledge that the waivers and indemnifications outlined in this affidavit may involve rights or claims that cannot be legally waived under applicable law. However, because these waivers are directed towards an agent of the future (‘Future Self’), they are being made in anticipation of potential legal frameworks that may arise. These rights are therefore waived in good faith, with the expectation that they will be recognized and enforceable at such time as relevant legal frameworks might come into existence. 7. Waiver of Claims
